Speed Dryer Model 1000/1100

The Model 1000/1100 Speed Dryer of R/A dries paper samples or hand sheets fast and uniformly.

R/A Speed Dryers are designed to provide years of trouble free service. The entire upper and lower frame is constructed from stainless steel. The drying plate is made from polished aluminum plate. A full size element provides excellent temperature uniformity over the entire drying surface. The heavily perforated cover and pad insure quick drying of the hand sheets.

PFI Type Laboratory Beater

The model 1200 PFI type Laboratory Beater from R/A is designed for the beating and refining of pulp under tightly controlled and highly repeatable conditions.

This machine is constructed to comply With PAPTAC C.7, ISO 5264/2 and TAPPI T-248 for laboratory refining and remains the only "traceable" method for laboratory refining of which we are aware of All instruments are conditioned and calibrated with optional certification of Paprican.

The PFI mill consists of a rotating internal beating roll with bars which rotates inside of a rotating bowl / bed plate. Each is driven at a slightly different speed. All beating elements are constructed of stainless steel.
The R/A Pulp beater unit provides two beating control; automatic and manual.

Standard Sheet Former

A standardized device to produce round hand sheets, which enables the measurement of the optical and physical properties of a given pulp.

Constructed in accordance with Paptac , Tappi and ISO standards, the consistent Sheet Forming of R/A ensures a high degree of uniformity and quality. A white water return system and a digital drain time analysis are available as optional accessories

Automatic Sheet Former

The Model 1500 eliminates most of the manual steps. The automated steps are: Filling, Agitation and Couching. The operator must release and tilt the forming cylinder, and remove the sample sheet from the forming wire.

As such human error is virtually eliminated. Times and pressures are adjustable via the control panel. A white water return system and a digital drain time analysis are available as optional accessories.

Econo-Space Automatic Sheet Forming System

The Econo-Space Automatic Sheet-Forming System of R/A is a self contained version of the counter top installed on Model 1500.

Designed for areas where space is at a premium ( 28” footprint). Start up consists of leveling and connecting : water, air, drain and electricity. The former is ready to produce consistent samples.

Constructed in accordance with TAPPI T-205 - T-218 PAPTAC C.4 - C.5 ISO 5269/1 standards. A white water return system and a digital drain time analysis are available as optional accessories.

Sheet Press

The Model 1800 is designed and constructed in accordance with the procedures described in Paptac standards C4/C5, ISO 5269 and tappi standard T205. The timing stages are controlled via 2 conveniently located digital timers, along with pressure gauges and regulators. Rapid action lock nuts and posts are constructed of stainless steel.

As evidenced by the shipping weight of 110 lbs the R/A Model 1800 is a ruggedly constructed press that will provide years of trouble free operation.

Pulp Disintegrator

The Model 1900 Pulp Disintegrator is designed and constructed in accordance with the procedures described in TAPPI T205/T218 , PAPTAC C.4, C.5 , ISO 5269/1 standard.

The stainless steel propeller and shaft are driven by an electric motor via heavy-duty timing belt. Two (2) sensors prevent operation if unsafe conditions occur (Container position / Pivoting head down). The pivoting head provides easy access to the lightweight polymer urethane container.(stainless steel container is also available in option).

For disintegration of samples above 50 degrees C . However we recommend that you consider using a Model 2000 Hot Disintegrator.

Hot Disintegrator

The Model 2000 Hot Disintegrator is designed and constructed in accordance with the procedures described in PAPTAC C.8 and TAPPI – 262 . Hot Disintegration removes latency by re-circulating the pulp at an elevated temperature. Safety sensors prevent operation if unsafe conditions occur (Container lock down).
