Flexidyne Corona Treating System

 |
Taking unique advantage of open air Corona discharge, directed to the surface requiring treatment, 3DT's self contained BottleDyne™ pre-treating systems set new standards for Corona technology. It's now possible to inline Corona treat virtually any extrusion or injection blow molded container at line speeds of up to 7,000 parts per hour. Treatment is done delicately, quickly and efficiently, without any damage to the surface being treated and without any adverse effect on the molding, printing or labeling process.
Many engineering plastic materials have insufficient surface tensions for printing or bonding. Polypropylene and polyethylene are prime examples. |
These materials have many useful properties, which make them materials of choice in the container industries. However, their poor wetability offers severe limitations when it comes to design choices.
The BottleDyne™ systems dramatically improve the wet-ability of the surface of these materials. These systems provide a surface treatment that enhances the ability to bond or print on virtually any container surfaces. BottleDyne increases the surface tension of the material to strengthen its "wetability." This creates a powerful bond between the printing ink, adhesive or coating and the material surface for maximum adhesion.
The state-of-the-art self-contained floor model systems are designed for easy installation into molding, printing and filling lines or can be used as stand-alone work-stations.
